The status on my order still says March 10th. :( I was hoping for the fifth.

For all you impatients .. I just received 'shipped' notice of the boxed version.
Today is only the 7th - I am in Toronto, Canada.

In thinking it curious that 15 March is the latest 'expected' ship-date (as of late yesterday afternoon) by Academic Superstores, as well as the date the current SoFo offers end, I called SoFO to see what was up with that. I didn't want to be waiting for a product that goes up in price before it's even released.

The guy at SoFo said no one is scamming us (what, me? paranoid?), it's just that they try to anticipate the initial overall ship-date for the box-version and then put a little time-slip margin in with the dealers, but they'd missed the schedule by just a bit. He went on to say that they have most of the materials already in-house for each package but are waiting for a few more things to put in the boxes before they seal 'em up and ship 'em out.

And here's the part that brought the lump to my throat... He said they had folks standing by there who are willing to work OVER THIS WEEKEND to get the job done, so they could start shipping the product to us as soon as possible next week!

Ok, I ask of you: when was the last time you heard that from the P*nnacle people? Or the Pr*miere bunch? But hey, maybe Bill Gates stayed late to help with the first shipment of Windows XP (or maybe one of their patches, more likely).
