Remember the "Trim Reaper"?

Has anyone noticed if the weird behavior of the cursor in the trimmer that was once referred to as the "Trim reaper" has been fixed in V6? I was working in V5 tonight creating some subclips and it attacked. I had forgotten about it. When the trimmer gets into that mode, the cursor becomes a double arrow and drags the cursor timeline everywhere. You can right click and get the normal cursor back until you go over the present play position in the trimmer and the arrow comes back. Tonight shutting down Vegas didn't fix it until the 3rd restart.

Sounds like you're describing 'Autoscroll' - click your middle mouse button in internet explorer and you can scroll up and down in varispeed using the mouse.

You can also do this in Vegas in the track view to scroll up down left right in your project, or in the trimmer to scroll left and right.

Another click of any mouse button will restore normal mouse behaviour.

But why it should turn itself on I don't know - sounds like you might have a dodgy mouse?

IN the words of B O C:
All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind the sun or the rain (we can be like they are)
Come on baby (don't fear the reaper)
Baby take my hand (don't fear the reaper)
We'll be able to fly (don't fear the reaper)

In other words the issue you were refering to seems to be fixed in V6 . YEAH!
Having had the problem myself, I never used the trimmer, but now I think I'm gonna start.
