Remember when Vegas 5 was released?

When Vegas 5 was released one of the frequent thread complaints were the colors chosen for icons/tool buttons. Seemed a great many people hated it - even called it the "Hello Kitty" interface. Sure it had lots of cool new features, but those colors were just far too distracting.

Well, it has been almost a year and we survived those colors (I think).

Now with Vegas 6 just around the corner can we expect a new color scheme? - maybe a "Neon Surprise" or "Retro (monotone)" or "Got Dressed in the Dark" LOL.

I think they're planning to just modify it...which means it will either be the "Goodbye Kitty" or "Hello Dolly" color scheme...

I hope it stays the same, I liked it from the beginning.

I was kind of late updating from V4 to V5, and all the comments about the color scheme had me wondering what kind of garish weirdness I'd be forced to stare at.

But when I installed V5 and took my first look, I couldn't understand what the fuss had been about. Colors looked OK to me. To tell the truth, if there was a difference between 4 and 5 it kind of escaped my notice.

I remember I made this thread:
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=270884

SonyIMC's deleted post said that it would be fixed and never was. :(

I hope it's in V6.

I remember too about all the fuss concerning GUI colors and at that time, I was asking myself : "how the hell can people be so shocked by a detail like that one?"
I was sooo glad bezier masking was in V5 that I sure didn't give a damn about colors (colors you could actually turn up or down via Prefs...)
