Remote Button & Flicker

I am using VMS 6.0 and DVDA 3.0

I DID IT!!! I finally was able to put in 9 scene selection buttons that take me to different ports of call from our caribbean cruise video. However, I have a couple of questions that would make my video "perfect."
I was able to get my remote to select the different scenes, and move around the menu screen with ease. After each scene completes, it returns directly to the main menu screen for another selection. (this works great). BUT...when I select the "stop" button on the remote..(.the DVD stops completely (makes sense). Is there a way to return to the main menu when the stop button is selected (like when a scene is completed) ? (otherwise, I have to start all over ...open drawer, close drawer, wait till DVD loads). I hope this makes sense.
2nd Question: FLICKER:
Several of my photos have flicker. Some of the flicker is when I pan and zoom. I also have flicker with some still photos that have a lot of horizontal lines. My photos are high resolution photos, but from what I've read...I should have low resolultion photos in these instances. (Don't quite understand that....I thought the higher resolution the better???). Can anyone explain why this occurs...especially with the still photos (i.e. no zooming).

Thank you in advance.

Double-click to select the video and, on the Media Properties pane, go to the End Action page. Make sure your Command is to set Link (rather than Stop) and your Destination is set to Most Recent Menu.

To remove the Flicker, double-click to select each photo and, on the Media Properties pane, go to the General page and turn on Reduce Interlace Flicker.

Lots of details like this in my book, by the way. ;)

1) The resolution of your TV screen is set, so you want the resolution of your photos to match that of the TV screen as closely as possible.

2) You can right-click on a photo and check "reduce interlace flicker."

Thanks, Steve and Sonata. I really appreciate your quick response.
Steve...I checked out your website...very interesting and informative. Thanks!
By the way...I finally realized that I can just press "menu" on the remote (instead of "stop") and it will take me back to the main menu page and I can select a new "port of call."

Thanks, again...I can always find an answer in this forum
