Remove one color and more questions!

Here is my problem...

My wedding was indoors, in a low light environment. Multiple cameras were taping my wife and I during the first dance. One of the guys taping had his sony camera on nightshot (still dont know why...), and ALL the other sony cameras picked up his infared and recorded green on us! Arg!
Anyways, how do I go about removing just one color...I want to keep the rest..
And, along the same lines, what is the best way to brighten up the video? I've had some success with the brightness and contrast but I thought someone might have a good trick...I was actually considering going to black and white and see if that helps...

Thanks for all your help
Steve

You can isolate one color (or range) with the Secondary Color Corrector.

The best tool for adjusting brightness and contrast is Color Curves.

The other thing would be to change the affected footage to B&W. That sometimes looks better than footage with major color problems. The secondary color corrector can definitely remove just a single color, but if you remove it entirely, it usually shows. It is much more effective for reducing a color than completely removing it.

I had that problem, new to Vegas I shot with night shot(mistake) and I ended up doing the reception in b&w. Bride and groom loved it. It was my first wedding shoot. I hope this helps. If not use Gary's, and JohnMeyers post. Good Luck

Almost forgot these links about reducing the intensity of the color red. I actually provided some settings. You should be able to use the same settings and simply sample your green color instead of red:

Correct Red Blooming

How can I remove just red saturation?

Also, these links talk about doing the inverse of what you want, namely keeping just one color and removing everything else. You may find some additional ideas:

Color object over Black and White

removing color from all but a particular item

How to do this compositing effect...

black and white and 1 selected colour

b&w video with colour flower
