Remove Plugin

Hello everyone,

How can a plugin be completely removed from Vegas Pro?

I tried to delete a Boris FX plugin, but it didn't completely delete it.

When launching Vegas Pro, I get an error message : "Error: Could not load library: lib\sx32w.dll Please try uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling"

I contacted Boris FX, but they told me to check with Vegas Pro support.

How to do ?

I contacted Boris FX, but they told me to check with Vegas Pro support.

Please note that this is a user forum, not Vegas Pro Support.

To delete a BorisFX plugin Unit or Continuum Complete - or any other BorisFX package for that matter - you will need to uninstall it via Windows 'Installed Apps' (W11 - it had a different name in W10). I don't believe that there is any way to uninstall a specific BorisFX filter that is part of a larger BorisFX package.

Hopefully, you have not uninstalled the BorisFX by just deleting it from a C:\Program files folder rather than by the proper Installed Apps process. If yes, then you are in all sorts of strife. Try re-installing the BorisFX package again - or first check Windows' Recycle Bin to see if the deletion is there and can be restored.

Is there anything from Boris left at:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins

If yes, remove that.

Reste-t-il quelque chose de Boris à :

C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\OFX\Plugins

Si oui, supprimez-le.

Thanks, that solved my problem.

By deleting the plugin via the Windows tool, there were still files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins

Deleting the files solved my problem.

I guess you can mark @jetdv suggestion as the Solution.
