Remove v12 before installing v13 or have both?

OK, Vegas Pro got in a few days back and has been laying on the desk. Now we want to install it.

The Win 7 Pro PC has Vegas 10 and Vegas 12 on it already.

My question is it better to remove those before installing 13?

I'm guessing the only advantage to keeping the old versions on the machine is in case we have a problem with revising an older project in version 13.

Thanks for any comments and suggestions.

No problems with VP12 & VP13 co-existing on the same system.
I have all of Vegas 9-13 installed.

Generally the version numbers are meant to stand alone and be independent of each other. There are some interesting combinations where the hardware config will not be optimal for both versions running on the same platform. That is unlikely between 12 -especially the last build - and Version 13.

But do save 'safety' copies in the original version ( I append the version number) , as once saved fom a new version it will be unloadable in the old.

True, except for v12 & v13.

A V13 project is backward compatible with V12...

But as Geoff said, better be safe.

I've been using both 12 and 13 actively ever since 13 came out and have no problems with the setup. Actually most of the time I have both running at the same time, each with separate projects.
