Why not just remove the clip then add it again from the Media pool?

I have the same question as the original questioner, only mine comes up from splitting events to separate out portions of video or audio from clips. I would like to eliminate the these split points in the remaining video or audio portion of the track so that when I slide things around they stay together.

To "unsplit" an event, delete one portion of it from the timeline, then stretch the other portion out to cover the whole space again.

If the audio & video get separated, click on the video, then Ctrl-click on the audio. This selects both. Press G to group them. They'll now stick together again.

Hey, Chienworks, sometimes the obvious passes right over my head. Thanks for the tip. I also take the separted clip and moving it to an open video track so I can see how far to stretch the original clip where I had previously shortened it priordoing the split.
