Removing green screen markers

Hi.

I have a green screen clip that has black plus-sign markers in the corners. When I chroma key, those black plus signs stay. What is the best way to get rid of them?

Any complications when using Motion Tracking with removing those black plus signs?

Here is a link to a picture that might help explain:

I also have some green-screen clips with black and white circle markers. Bonus points if the method above works for these markers too. :)

BTW - I can't put the image of me above the track of the tablet as the video has a hand that occasionally taps the screen. If I put the video of me above the table, the plus markers disappear, but so does the person's hand when tapping the screen. Here is a link showing that.

This is Vegas Pro 19.0, on the latest patches.

@Michael-Tressler Hi pictures can be uploaded on here using the arrow button next to the smiley at the top of a comment

Using Vegas you'd have to layer/duplicate the tablet video, then using a bezier mask cut out & add the hand back in, so it would be tablet hand clip with mask track 1, tablet clip track 2 with green screen & image going on tablet track 3 , the black marks could also be cut out using a bezier mask,

bit like this. i only roughly put a mask around my hand,

PS don't think you can keyframe a curved bezier mask, there's a mask in Pan/Crop tho

Why you shoot with black markers? I think the white frame is enough for tracking with the tablet green screen on.

Thanks for the answers. I really appreciate it. These are clips I downloaded. I was hesitant to pull them down because of the markers.

I think what I've decided to try is basically use a dark background and "hide" the plus markers. Low tech solution.

@Michael-Tressler Last night i had a play & it dawned on me if the screen is green screen then no mask is needed, just duplicate & add Chroma key green screen to both with the insert below, sorry i use Boris's Mocha Pro normally for this type of stuff, it was late & i was trying too suggest a way you could cut out your hand to add it back in 🥱😁

Chroma key on both tracks no masking
