removing horizontal lines

I transferred old video tapes to dvd my problem is that some have a lot of horizontal lines can VMS platinum remove these lines and how (novice)

Go to Project Properties and make sure your Video is set up for standard definition, upper field first and that you've set it up for Frame Blending.
