Removing time from the timeline...

This question is going to completely bone-headed, given the number of years I've been on this message base.

Used to be in earlier versions of VMS, to remove time from the timeline, you just highlighted the gap and hit the [delete] key.

I have VMS Plat Ver 6.0. That no longer does the trick. So if I want to remove say... 15 or 20 seconds of blank timeline out and close the gap between video clips, how the heck do I do it.

Thanks in advance...

Sorry, bone-headed questions aren't allowed.... :)

To answer your question, enable Auto Ripple (Ctrl-L).

Gerry - not such a bone headed question - the behaviour's changed! Double click on the gap to highlight it and use <ctrl> x to delete it. If you don't want to have auto-ripple on, use <ctrl> x then type F. I prefer the old way, but then I'm getting old, too!

<Edit>
Now that I think about it, is this a bug or a feature?
