The Vegas project is HDV 1080-60i(1440x1080, 29.970 fps).
.
There are some places with dark areas in the frame that have very bright 'spots'. That's what was where, no problem with the recording or Vegas.
.
Pan & Crop was used with a solid black to 'cover' those spots - make them disappear.
.
There is another place where Track motion was used to 'replace' a sign on the side of a moving bus. (Pan & Crop was used to resize the replacement.)
.
The problem is, I want to render for DVDA and have letterbox for a 4:3 display. Using the DVD Architect NTSC video stream template for MPEG2, in the rendered picture the black spot covers and the new sign on the bus are no where near the right place.
.
Even using the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream timplate the overlays are off but not much - not nearly as much as the 4:3 template.
.
I would think that the video tracks would be composited before any aspect changes are calculated. I would think that the widescreen template would be correct but it is not.
.
I rendered to another track the sign segmet and part of the 'spot removal' using AVI and uncompresssed. When that is rendered using either of the above templates, the overlays are in the correct place (I would hope so <g>).
.
What am I missing?
.
Is there a better template for rendering to another track to 'combine' the tracks before the project is rendered for DVDA?
.
Thanks.
