Render As

I use Movie Studio 8 and have a Widescreen video in the project time line.

So it has the black bars at top and bottom.

Now I do my Editting and so on and then Render As and I pick .AVi NTSC Uncompressed.

Now I go into the Custum Tab so I can see all the specs on this Templete.

And it says the Pixal Radtio is 0.909

So is this going to Pan and scan the video and make it without the Black bars at top and bottom?

No. And don't use uncompressed avi.

What is the source of your video? It would help to post the MediaInfo text view information to see the properties of your video.

To get rid of the letter box black bars, you have to crop. See that icon at the end of your video event on the timeline, that one that says Event Pan/Crop when you hover over it? Click it and crop your video as needed. Then render.

I knew we went over this before......

Pan & Scan is a function of your television set and has nothing to do with how the video is rendered.

The black bars are there because you've put your widescreen video into a 4:3 project. If you want to avoid the black bars then set your project to widescreen too.
