"Render As" Batch Processing Script ?

rtbond wrote on 12/5/2007, 5:21 AM
Folks,

I have never written a script for Vegas. I have a short fuse need for (what I think is) a simple script for Vegas 7 or Vegas 8 that batch processes a number media clips (some are m2t and some are MPEG-4/AVC) as follows:

1) Load a media clip into Vegas
2) Render as an uncompressed video with the same frame rate, frame size as the original (no video processing other than decoding and converting to an uncompress YUV)
3) Repeat 1 and 2 until all files are processed

Any pointers to a script (or Vegas batch facility) that might do this or to a script that gets me close to something that does this type of batch processing?

Thanks!

Tools - Scripting - Batch Render may get you close. If you put a BUNCH of clips on the timeline and put regions around each of them, it can render those regions all out to separate files.

You might also look at the batch render program in the "Veggie Toolkit". I don't have the link handy but if you do a search I'm sure you'll find it.

Thanks Ed. I will give Veggie Toolkit a try.

Thanks for the heads-up on the existing batch render script.
