Render As issue.

When i click the render as and try to make a .mov clip it states there is an error occured while converting with a codec.

My settings for the rendar as is quicktime 7, video format h.263 data rate basic target 500kbytes/sec. The audio format is mpeg-4, 44,100, bit epth 16 and channel is stereo.

I do not know what is going wrong. Try to look everywhere but no solution. This never happened before, wondering is it the video format or the data rate?

I get an error too -- but my error tells me to upgrade my version of Quicktime.

I render the file to C:/ drive and still the same issue as rendering the .mov in E:/

what is the source of this error and the solution? I hope it ain't forcing me to pay $259 for vegas 9 to fix this issue :(

What are your specs? What ver of Vegas ?

some resolutions aren't available in some codec's. Maybe that's the case here.

I don't have QT installed (I have QT alternative) so I can't help if it's a QT specific issue.

The version im using of Vegas is 8.0C. Im wondering what do you mean by spec as in my hardware i run on or the spec of rendering?

Vegas 8.0c works best with Quicktime version 7.6.2 and 7.6.

If you have a later version of Quicktime installed you will need to roll it back to one of the previous versions.

i'm using quicktime 7.6.2, i just rolled it back and still has the same issue.

Ah i think it has to do something with my custom settings :( damn that sucks. Every time i set the audio format to mpeg-4 audio, the codec error occurs.
