System: Windows ME
Processor: Intel PIII 1000 Hz
RAM: 256 MB
HDD: 40 GB
Video Card: ATI-All-in-Wonder RADEON 32MB DDR
Fire Wire Card for DV Capture
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Value Live
CD-ROMS: 16x DVD, 12x CDR-RW
It is my understanding that Windows ME has a limitation on
the size of files it can create. I think the limit it 4 GB.
I recommend you search this forum for anything related to
file size limitations. This topic has been well covered.
Please check the support knowledge base for item #1288. It
is refferencing Vegas but the same holds true for Video
Factory. Also it reffers to Win 98SE but ME also displays
the same file size limitations.
what you might want to do is create an NTFS partition under 98/ME. several companies offer this interface, but it is slower than the normal FAT32 access under win9X, so it won't be good for capture, but if you can spare a partition just to edit on, that might be the route to take.
