Render "Elasped Time" bug?

I'm rendering out a 44 minute TV segment with the color corector & movie look plugins. I know it takes a while (currently ~24 hours & 61% done), BUT.... thismorning I wake up to see how it's doing & the elasped time counter is now ~38 minutes. Which is impossible because when i went to get it was ~16 hours. Anyone else ever have this happen? The "time left" counter I know if off (it origonally sayd 16 hours but whenit hit 0 went back to 23 hours, but i don't care about that one).

The time indicator is rarely accurate. Start a project that has a busy header, then is mostly cuts or light transitions, and you'll see a very high render time that drops to very little render time. The counter reads ahead, but I don't think it's looking ahead at all the content. In other words, don't take it as gospel if your project has any level of complexity at all.

I think thehappyfriar is referring to the "elapsed time" which should be accurate because that is just a timer referring to how long something has been running. Not an estimate of time left.

Maybe after it crossed over 24 hours it reset to 0.

yeah, I know about the time left stuff. :) I just ignore it, I go almost totally by the % done.

That actuatly makes sence. 24 hours = 1 day, maybe it's using the time clock in Windows as a base so 24hours = 0. :)
