Render error message.

DGrob wrote on 7/9/2003, 10:32 PM
Rendered 1024 frames into a 17 minute animated slide show and I have gotten this error detail. Anyone seen anything like this before? Inspiron 8200 XP Home, 640 Ram, 1.5 gigs, OS on C with a 120 gig external Maxtor in/out Belkin firewire PCMCIA. Never had a problem before, rendered a similar project last night. 3 consistant failures on this one. ?????

Finf the poit where the vegas gives you the error in the project (last part rendered) and get rid of the transation there. See if that works. Also try just rendering that part to see if it it will crash again.

Thanks, I've expanded the timeline 'way out and found 1 frame with the still overlay missing. Deleted the frame and got the same error message about one second later in the same composite sequence. FYI, it's a title generated-media over an animated PSG still over a mainconcept looped background with music track rendering at "good." No transition at the error point(s). Just a continuation of what was rendering fine (albeit slow) before.

I'm just hoping someone else may have encountered the same error message and/or divine SF input. Will keep rummaging around at my end.

Thanks, Friar. DGrob

'sftrans1.dll' shows as a video transitions plugin, which would lead me to look at any transitions first off.

Otherwise, if you're rendering from an mpg2 on the timeline, I'd suggest using dvd2avi & vfapi to serve the video to vegas - Doesn't seem to have any performance penalties over reg avi files, seems to offer a better result, doesn't seem to have the frame dropouts that can occur opening an mpg2 directly, definitely reduces the workload on vegas. Might also try something other then the psg.

Thanks Mikkie, I'll check again for transitions - almost positive it's just composite layers, would that translate to a transition-esque operation? BTW, the animated still is a pan/crop w track motion. Sorta Kinda complex in total.
