Render Ideas for a project

Hello friends in Vegas-

I am looking to combine three projects onto one DVD as one video piece. No menus besides the main menu. Just 3, 4 minute pieces put together as a 12 minute piece.

Any ideas on what format I should render each individual project?

Mpeg2? AVI?

If I do them all as AVi's should I put them all back in Vegas and re-render them all as a Mpeg2? I wonder if that messes with quality?

Or- Can I keep them all as Avi's and line them up in DVD arch to rip?

OR- Should I cut and paste each Vegas project into one main project and render that.

---too many options and a bit of random confusion. Thanks for your ideas.

If you are using Vegas 6d, create a new project with the same properties, and in import media, choose the .veg files of the 3 projects.

Line the veg files up on the Vegas timeline, encode into one file.

I'd go straight to MPEG2, highest quality, 8MB/sec data rate, and see how that looks (probably the best you can get out of the system). You have more control in Vegas than DVDA. Also several people will recommend constant data rate. It's short, so you have plenty of room for the best quality.
