1) the project is fit to the media settings

2) the original media is just mp3, mp4, and one .jpg

3) The render settings are mp4 1920x1080-24p 35 mbps vbr

4)It plays in the preview when placed back but in the windows player its just black

So, the only issue is when it is played in Windows Media Player? Yes? I'm not surprised. Can you play it in VLC player?

If it walks like a Duck? It sounds like a Duck? .... What I've found is that if I leave it to cycle several times in WMP it's CODEC picks up the pace and final plays. OK try this. Try playing it on another PC or WMP enabled device. My thoughts are that with all the CODECS we Veg heads need to use, we've inadvertently setup a localised CODEC guerrilla war!

Do try on another, non-Vegas device. 😉
