Render Issue in Vegas Pro 8

I am using DVD camcorder which produces MPEG footage. This is a standard def camcorder. I have used Vegas Studio Platinum Pro 9 and the renders were always perfect picture quality through the render wizard. I have recently upgraded to Pro 8 and I have tried rendering in MPEG 2 & AVI. I am using the DVD architect template and the motion in the video seems real flickery. I also tried rendering in MPEG 1 which took the flicker out but some of the object s when moving tends to have a tracking effect. Needless to say the PRO 8 has not rendered my project like the Vegas Studio Platinum Pro 9 has. Technical support really does not have any answers, I have matched the video in the property setting, I am using 720 x 480 video. Any suggestions?

The flickery motion may have been caused by an opposite field order. Change it and see if that helps.

Yep, that is what I was going to suggest. Some cameras record in Upper field first and other LFF in the MPEG-2 format. You also might be able to just change the properties of your project which may correct it as well.

Thanks I will try that. I assume that I would match my video footage which will show me if the footage is upper or lower field and then when I am rendering the project I manually choose that upper or lower field to match them. I will try to this, if I have miss understood your direction let me know.

Correct. I have a DVD camcorder that records UFF. The default DVD Architect PAL templates are set up for LFF first. Match the render to your source.
