Render issues

I have made my movie, just like I always do, but now when I go to render, either to make movie or dvd, the software freezes and it won't work. It will act like it's starting, but then it freezes. Sometimes it will come up with an error message that doesn't say anything and then the software will just close.
HELP!!!!!

Can you tell us what you are trying to render? To you have large photos? In what format? Is there any HDV? Or other HD formats?

There was another thread with render issues recently, and there were lots of good ideas in there.
