Render Locks Up

If I start a new project using the standard NTSC DV template (720x480), and add a single Quicktime movie that is at 720x486 resulution which lasts about 30 seconds, then render the file as AVI using the NTSC DV file type, VV3 locks up once it hits 100% on the rendering status.

Here is my config:

Windows XP Pro
Quicktime 5 (not pro) current as of yesterday
Dell 4300 1.6Ghz with 512MB RAM

Any suggestions? I haven't tried to uninstall QT5 yet, but will tonight unless I hear this is a known problem with VV3.

Haven't heard this one before, and Vegas obviously shouldn't be behaving as described. Can you post the exact framrate/codec/audio compression/bitrate etc of the QT file? We'll try to recreate the situation here.

I'm not at my VV3 computer right now, so tonight I'll try removing then re-installing QT5 with all components. If I still get the lockups after that, I'll post specific information here.
