I've got a timeline with 1080/60i and 720.30p footage on it. For rendering out to BluRay, does it make more sense to create a 1080/60i or 720/30p stream?
I'd speculate that if Vegas is smart about converting progressive to interlaced, Vegas can do a better job upsampling the 720 to 1080 than my TV can, because its working with an earlier generation of data (prior to recompress).
On the other hand, if Vegas resamples frames to create interlaced fields, things would likely look terrible, and it would be best to let the TV upsample the 720p image.
Anyone done any testing on this?
