I would like to capture a production i made, put it on the timeline, then write it back to an other tape without having to render it.Can anybody tell me how to do this.
Thanks lot.
If you've made no edits other than simple cuts, then Vegas won't have to render the video when you print to tape. It will render the audio to a .w64 file, but this is a very fast process.
If you're not doing any editing at all, then don't even place the clip on the timeline. Just use VidCap to print the captured file back to tape. This won't even render the audio.
In any video editor of this class you will need to render. Even if you want to play it back to tape, in order to achieve a constant 29FPS you should render the time line (shift+B) then play and record on tape. If you have no effects and don't mind the potential occational frame loss then you could just "print to tape".
I however have not ben able to print to tape as of yet, DV tape that is.
NO, it does NOT need to render (will only create a .w64 file for the audio). You can even get around this if you print it back to tape using the capture program (yes, it prints too).
