If I remember correctly some posts I have read, Vegas will import but not render broadcast wave format.
A search on these forums for .bwf will certainly yield you more discussion.

musicvid is absolutely correct, "Vegas will import but not render broadcast wave format" I had to move to a non-SCS DAW for this feature.
Vegas Pro without the pro features.. don't get me started.

Yep......It's unfortunate, because Vegas is a nice editor and has a good audio engine. I looked at the various files in bwf editors and nuendo. I am looking for an easy solution. This really makes Vegas unsuitable for a lot of pro audio broadcast work where you want to deliver broadcast wave files. Hopefully they will recognize this limitation soon. Viewing and editing of the BEXT and iXML bwf data should be available in an easy, form based options window.

I'm not holding my breath. It would be nice to stay with Vegas but if they aren't interested in supporting the audio side of the application... If I recall the "mixer window" was heralded as a major investment on Sony's part for their Vegas audio users but years now & I don't have a need for it. BWF on the other hand...
