Ok, this problem is not mine, however, he ask me in Facebook.
I suggest restart, no good, already done in 3 to 4 times (for me, after restart, everything goes smooth again, easy to solve..., so I have no idea what to do next).

He uses many MagicBulletFX, the frame rates of his video tracks is not the same, duration is 3 hours, his video card is Nvidia CUDA, though I don't know exactly what type of card he use.
His processor is Intel Core i7-4930K CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM is 32.0 GB

From him:
hi i am having major difficulty rendering a 3 hour video out of Vegas. it always stopped at 20 percent. Last try it stopped at 26 percent. I've tried a few tricks that i've seen posted on youtube, restarted pc etc. To no avail. Honestly makes me want to ditch the program completely because this is a time sensitive project. I've used the program for years. I've tried multiple formats..but need MP4.

Rendering with GPU or CPU? Turning off GPU solves a lot of these problems.

Problem Solved and his whole rendering completed.

This was caused by rendering inefficiency, so too much FX, process, resampling, compositing handled in the same time.

Add: After Prerender in several parts, complete project rendering can goes smooth.
