Just got the machine going and my old P4-3.4meg with HHyperthreading on and best quality setting was one minute 41 seconds. The AMD Dual Core 4600 did it in one minute 8 seconds and if the quality was set to good instead of best it was 49 seconds. This is with stock settings in the bios, no overclocking or high performance settings selected. Gigabyte board, 4 gig ram, XP Pro 32 bit. I guess all of the cuss words were worth it configuring the new system.
