I've found the similar issues with using nested VEG files. Thus the reason I completly avoid that feature despite it's potential usefullnes in my workflow.

Maybe it'll be fixed by Vegas 7 this year around NAB time. If not, then I don't want to upgrade. They need to address past issues before piling on "new" features.

I don't use this feature very often, but are you using 6.0c? I know there were problem reported in early 6.0 versions, but I thought they were fixed.

My guess is that this is precisely the issue I mention in the "6.0d when??" thread.

Do you have markers on the timeline on which you use the nested veg file?

*If* this is the nested veg/markers issue, I am pretty sure that this bug was *introduced* with 6.0c. I know I used markers with nested veg's before 6.0c (6.0b) and it worked fine. This issue did not exist at that time.

There were, however, other issues...like not being to do a preview of a non-Vegas (i.e. Boris Red, SteadyHand, etc.) rendered avi file...among other issues.

I am using 6.0c and both projects have markers.

So if I remove the markers this will fix the problem?

Any scripts to remove all markers?

Thanks,
Duncan

Just right-click above the timeline choose Markers> Delete All

Thank you.... I will report the results back.

You can also select all the markers in the Edit Details view (by clicking on the button at the intersection of rows and columns) and press Ctrl-X to cut them. Then, paste the information into Notepad. Later, if you want to restore the markers, just select the blank Edit Details marker view and cut/paste the information back from Notepad. A bug in Vegas keeps this from working with Regions.

I noticed during my last project that my nested project only utilized one of my two CPU's during rendering.
