Does anyone know how to render a video and make it continuously loop?
Ex. I have a video where a man is walking thru the screen. Is there a way to render it so its continuously looping? And if Screenblast can't do it, do you know any other software (for free) that will do it?
I guess it might depend on what file format you're hoping to save to. (Obviously you couldn't create a continuous loop videotape without physically cutting the tape itself!)
If, on the other hand, you just want to create many repeats of this sequence, you can just lay it on the timeline and then extend it by grabbing one side and pulling it. Once you extend past the end of the clip, it will automatically start the clip again.
What are you trying to create? Maybe that will help clarify it for us.
i've done a bit more research and what i want to do is create an animated gif...i've seen an example on a message board where a person has a little vid constantly looping next to their name.
It would be cool to make this looping vid for a message board, or to email just a short little video to someone.
i think i can use Movie Studio and then a program like this to do it.
An animated GIF is a different animal than video MS will create and has the option of not requiring any "player" to view. The only GIF animator I am familiar with is from Adobe. It will display a series of GIF files (or layers) in sequence with various options such as frame display time. The resulting effect could be referred to as "video", but it does not compare to the type of output you would receive from any true video editing application such as MS. If you are looking for animated GIF files, MS is not the application. Instead, use single still images arranged in layers in a photo or graphic program (ie, Adobe Photoshop or Ulead). Keep in mind that your file size will increase based on number of frames, resolution, etc.
Paintshop Pro 5 also comes with Animation Shop, which is able to create animated GIFs (although I haven't used AS yet). I know version 5 is a bit old, but I got it for free on a magazine cover CD a while ago and works great for my needs.
