what am I doing wrong!!!

I have a PIII 933 with 256MB ram and a Maxtor 160GB firewire HD with Windows ME.

I shot a concert with 2 cameras and I edit them( mixing, adding pictures, text, etc),

and it reduced to 2.5 hrs. I render to tape this 2.5 hrs(looped it)and it is taking

nearly 80 hrs to render!!!

Is there something wrong I am doing?

need advice

thanks

Something is causing all the video to be resampled. My first guess would be one of the track transparency sliders at the left. Often they'll get focus and shift slightly while you're trying to zoom on the timeline.

Generally, look for track-wide filters or effects, followed by event filters.

I AM STILL TAKING A LONG TIME TO RENDER TO TAPE.
EVEN THOUGH I ST RENDER PROPERTY TO "GOOD".OVER 2 FULL DAYS! TO DO 2.5HRS OF RENDERING.
I AM MIXING 2 VIDEOS, FADING BETWEEN THE 2 A LOT, ADDED SCROLLING TEXT AT BEGINNING, ADD BMP PIC., GIF, CHROMA KEYING.
SHOULD IT TAKE THIS LONG?

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
THANKS

If the chorma key is applied to all of the video it is normal that the video is long to render.
Also, when you render, be sure that your destination video settings are the same as your source material, otherwise vegas will have to resample all of the video. What has been unchanged should't need to be rendered.
