Go to the RENDER AS dialog, select the AVI format, and then hit CUSTOM. In the video tab, you will find all the AVI codecs under the installed codecs drop-down list.

Although I'd suggest against Huffyuv. Why not use AVID DNxHD which is much faster and less crashy?

Thanks Eugena, Im not at my PC with Vegas right now, but that's where I was looking. I'll check again tonight, my eyes were getting a bit fuzzy.

AVID DNxHD is on my list, I just wanted to get past this huffyuv issue. I have added Codecs in the past and Vegas always seemed to find them without issue.

Choose file type AVI, select the uncompressed template, click the [Custom] button. In the custom settings screen there's a pulldown box labeled Video format: that will show you the installed codecs that can be used in an AVI container.

It's not called exactly like this, use your imagination a bit, I don't have Vegas open right now to tell you exactly. It's called something like "video format" or something like that.
