Render with Quicktime Pro 7 for iPod?

Howdy...

I'm trying to find settings that will work to export to my Video iPod. AVC exporting produces good results, but they won't play on my pod. MPEG-4 via the Quicktime 6 export works for video, but there's no AAC sound export option, so I can't get any sound on the iPod that way...

I own Quicktime 7 Pro. Is there anyway I can export using Quicktime 7? The only option on Vegas is Quicktime 6. 7 has special export defaults just for the iPod so that would be ideal..

Any thoughts?

Ben

QT7 Pro actually has an option to export to Ipod. Its on the drop down box.

Sure, but how do I get to the QT Pro drop down box from inside Vegas.

I know I could render in Vegas and then render again from within QT7, but I'd like to skip that extra step, and just render straight to QT7 from within Vegas, like you can do with QT6...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ben

You dont get that option in Vegas. If you want to export to Ipod video, then you have to use either Itunes or QT7 Pro.

Quicktime support in the past has seemed to be hardwired in, so to speak. So usually we don't get an updated quicktime codec untill they release a new version of Vegas.

However that would be the kind of thing that would be nice to see in a bug fix type of update.

HINT HINT SONY
How about putting the Quicktime 7 codec into Vegas 6.0d.
