When I render to an NTSC DV "file.avi", using 48,000 sample rate, 16 bit-depth (which is the same as the captured clips), the audio on the rendered file drops more than 20 db. How do I get it to render so the audio stays at the same level as the original clips? Thanks.
Thanks for the input, GG. After a little frustration (24 hours), I found the culprit. An amplitude modulation audio plug-in was inserted in the audio track. I remember exploring the list of plug-ins and adding it. Doh! Doh! Doh!
Unfortunately, it gets inserted by default everytime I open an audio track now. I have to remove it manually each time I insert a new track.
I apologize for such beginner questions, but can you tell me how to get rid of it from the default list of plug-ins? Thanks.
I've only been using Vegas Video for two days now. I've jumped ship from Digital Origin's EditDV (Cinestream). So far Vegas Video blows EditDV out of the water.
One last question, how do I capture a single frame of video? I've marked a single frame in the Trimmer, but there is no option to save it as a still image. I've tried copying and pasting to Photoshop, but I can't get the copy feature to work across the platforms.
The way to grab a still:
1. Find the frame you want either via the trimmer or the timeline.
2. Resize the preview window until you get the size you want or right click on the preview window and choose 'display at project size'
3. Press the copy snapshot button at the top of the preview window this will place the picture from the preview into the clipboard as a bitmap
4. Open up your graphics editor and choose paste or you could open windows paint and select paste there then save to a file.
5. If you select to save the image to a file via the 'Save Timeline Shot to file' button in the preview it will be saved as 654*480 as it will be affected by the pixel aspect ratio set in the project properties.
