Rendered video to MPEG2 & audio now out of sync

I imported a 10GB AVI file into Vegas 3.0b and rendered it to a DVD MPEG2 file for later burning to a DVD-R disc. I captured the file with an analog capture board using HuffyUV compression.

During the preview of the AVI file, the audio is in perfect sync with the video. After the render, and playing back the MPEG2 file, the audio is off by a few seconds.

How do you fix this?

Some users have reported a/v synchonization with MPEG renders in 3.0b. If you encounter this problem, please download the file

http://files1.sonicfoundry.com/updates/mpgaout.dll

and and insert it in the folder ":\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\File Formats\MCMPEG".

Choose yes when asked to overwrite the existing file, restart Vegas. This will fix the synchronization problem.

We regret the inconvenience and will post a new Vegas update shortly.
