Rendered videos blurry, Movie Studio 15 Platinum

I have been using Movie Studio since 13, and am now on 15 Platinum. As of late rendered videos are starting to come out blurry.

For instance, I take some footage of a game that I recorded in OBS. The footage is 1920x1080 60fps, mp4 format. It's crystal clear, just the way I want it, and only 448mb to boot.

I import it into Movie Studio Platinum 15. Everything is fine in project settings, video preview when set to full (best) shows up just as it did in the original recording.

I make a few snips, and go to render.
 I select SonyAVC/MVC, Internet 1920x1080-30p.
I change framerate to 59.940 (DoubleNTSC)

and begin rendering.

Well now the video comes out with some motion blur that was not there before, and is double the file size, with a noticeably less sharp quality when there isn't any movement.
This has only started recently happening, starting in just the last month or so, and I'm not sure what has changed that has caused this. I have made sure that I am on the latest version, and still the problem persists.

I am running on a Zotac 1070 6gb video card, Intel core i7-8700k cpu, with 16gb of ram, on an SSD with Windows 10 64-bit, and the version I have is 64-bit just to make sure.

Maybe it is due to the fact that VMS 15 Pl is not able to customize your rendertemplate to exactly 60 fps as that is the exact framerate of your sourcefiles.
In VMS 16 that has become possible and it may be worth to try that with a small piece rendering in the trial version of VMS16 Pl with this customized template, that also renders much faster compared to your choosen Sony AVC template.

It's looking that way. Luckily it turns out they're offering an upgrade for the cost of the base version so I'm just going to go with that and see if that fixes it.

Wow, those settings are fantastic and rendered in no time. Still had some blurring issues though.
