Rendering

...am I doing something wrong or is this common for the software.

I render my mpeg in vegas then bring it into DVd-a and DVD-a still wants to render or states "rendering video for menu page 1".

Note, I did create my chapters in DVd-a...mistake or not.

That is merely stating the DVDA is rendering a video element based upon the menu you have created. It will do this particularly if you have created an animated motion menu utilizing menu thumbnails that are animated from the video they point to. It is not actually re-rendering the main video.

Correct. Not re-rendering your original video... so no way it can affect it's quality.
