Rendering a section

I have one section of my video just as I want it but maybe not in the place i have it. Is their any point of rendering this section or should wait till I get all of project done. It would be easier for me to move it around in my project as one unit. I have been doing the group thing but once and a while a piece gets left behind. Also would it save me time in rendering the project later? Sorry for the dumb questions but you are helping me to learn alot. Thanks to all of you.

Yes, find the "render to new track" tool in one of dropdown menus. You can then delete the original region and save out the project with a new name. That will let you go back to the original project and change things if you need. Anything in the region that rendered to the new track will just be a file transfer on the final "make movie" for your new project.

I knew I shouldn't have used that wording. ; )
Vegas doesn't have a Make Movie. It should read "Render As" or what ever it is called. I was trying to imply that when you render a project, you're not rendering things like straight clips, sections that have been "rendered to new track", ect. Sorry about that.

When I finish the project can I render the project that includes the rendered region?
Thanks for your help.

Yep, Vegas will treat it just like a staight DV clip that hasn't been modified. Zoom ; )
