Rendering AC3 files with video???

Can anyone please explain how you render for DVD video and audio using the 5.1 AC3 encoder? When I render using Main Concept's MPEG2 encoder it doesn't give me an option for AC3 encoding of the audio. The only place I can find it is in the "render as" menu and it appears to only encode the audio for DVD (AC3). How do you render the video and audio together or do you have to render the video separately from the audio to make a surround sound movie?

There may be an obvious answer to this, but as it stands right now I am confused!

Thanks

You render twice - once to get the MPG file and once to get the AC3 file. You then import these TWO files into your DVD authoring program.

Check out this thread:

Download the RenderDVD script (the link on 2/10/2003 at 10:21 AM). It takes you through the rendering of the MPEG2 and Ac-3 files automatically.
