Rendering DJI 2688x1512

Brent-Smith wrote on 5/15/2022, 10:05 AM

Hey folks, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to render a video I recorded on my drone. It's a Mavic 2 Pro and I used 2688x1512 resolution. I'm trying to save a decent quality version of my final product, but Sony AVC/MVC format, but the resolution is giving me problems. When I try a custom resolution of 2688x1512 it gives me an error. The only one I have success with is 1920x1080 but that of course lowers the resolution. Any thoughts?

That (old) codec can only deal with FHD.

Choose the Magix one.

@Brent-Smith Hi try Magix HEVC or AVC, set your project to the size or click yes when you import the media, set project to match media

This what size that render produced

Well that suggestion sort of helped. I now have a 2 minute video that takes up 12 gb instead of the previous versions that took up 270 mb. Is there no middle ground???

Version 15 Build 177. I used Magix, but that created a 12gb output file. Which is pretty crazy for a 2 minute video.

Where do you read 12gb? I read just 12mb.

@Brent-Smith
- First update your version to VPro 15 build 416
- Choose from Magix AVC this render option and customize it to your outcome following this

Your looking at the wrong file. Your mediainfo shows a rendered HEVC mp4 of 12mb and not a mov.

I did that and here are my settings. This created a 12gb output file. I get that there are different rates of compression. But honestly the old format I was using had worked pretty well but breaks when I tried to use the higher resolution. The old format created a file 270mb. Quite a difference.

Interesting... I'm not sure how I'm looking at the wrong file. After I rendered the video a 12mb output file was created.

The file that was created using the MAGIX format was created at 12:20 PM. I'm not sure what glasses I have to wear to see anything other than a 12gb output file.

Look at the proposed rendertemplate and the one you used.

@Brent-Smith You've chosen ProRes not Magix,

but 2min vid rendered Magix AVC 273 MB

Brent-Smith wrote on 5/15/2022, 11:15 AM

@Brent-Smith Don't know what you've done but 2min vid rendered Magix AVC 273 MB

I used the standard settings for this format but changed the resolution to match my video source. There's obviously something else that is different.

I see what everyone is saying....I used the Magix ProRes not the Magix AVC....sorry....Thanks!

I'm sorry, too.

My dropping "choose the Magix (AVC) one" caused confusion.
