Did movies for web in Platinum 8 - never a problem; Upgraded to 9.0 Wednesday and spent the entire 4 day weekend trying to render a 4:23 min 320x240 wmv. After 25 errors at 98% I started to render in all other variations (two pass, etc). Got one wmv and one avi version.
This is the most simple format and Vegas P9 should just work like version 8 did. I do not have time to spend hours with tech support when the software is bad. Time is valuable and this version isn't. I'm jumping ship to Adobe Premiere Elements (takes longer to load but it does simple videos without interruption). Read many posts here over the weekend but when people are suggesting we do command line changes to exe files - it's time to abandon ship. I have two Vaios and just talked to SonyStyle about buying a third - but this Vegas Platinuim 9 is horrible and deserves to be pulled.
