Rendering for a 3/4 inch tape machine

There is a vegas 3.0 video I have and someone wants me to bring my computer tower to their home and dump my video unto their 3/4 inch tape.

What is the best format to render my project to for this situation?

Have you got some sort of DV -> A/V converter such as the Canopus ADVC-100? Or do you have a DV camcorder with analog AV outputs? Definately render to DV and print-to-tape through firewire into the converter or camcorder, then use the analog AV outputs to feed the 3/4 deck. You won't get anything better than this.

When I render my project for my VX2000 mini DV do I go to Windows avi/ntsc?

Yes, use the standard .avi DV NTSC template, unless you're in PAL territory in which case use the .avi DV PAL template.
