Rendering for Broadcast Pix

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with rendering video to be used as Clips on a Broadcast Pix video production switching system.

I have tried creating and importing Quicktime 7 files and the Pix indicates they are invalid.

The manual states: "All clips must be compressed as a Quicktime movie file encoded as a H.264 wrapped as a .mov or .mp4 extension or Apple ProRes wrapped in a .mov extension."

If anyone has experience with this and can suggest proper rednering settings I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Render using the Mainconcept .mp4 encoder, and rename the file to .mov if you wish (not necessary).

Great!

We'll give it a try,

Thanks!

Hmm...

I tried this and it did not work using frame sizes of 1920x1080 and 1280x720 and using both mp4 and mov extensions. :-(

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Post your complete rendered file properties using MediaInfo from Sourceforge.
Post your complete file requirements as provided by your hosting service.

We'll help you get it sorted.
The files play on your computer, do they?
If Mainconcept won't work, you may be better using Handbrake or Quicktime Pro.

I found this in one of the user manuals for Broadcast Pix. Does it pertain to yours?

Eureka! I got it to work!

I found that using the MainConcept AVC codec and Internet HD 720p
template works.

As mentioned above, this will create a .MP4 file which will work in the Pix. You can also rename the file extension to .MOV and that will work too,

Thanks so much for your help!

Glad you got it working!
And 720p is still the best for internet delivery IMO, because it is playable on most computers and connections.
