I have completed my project and now need render it but I need some advice. My goal is to have two files - one audio, and one video - that are DVD compliant. I need these so that I can drop them into Sonic's MyDVD and create a valid DVD. This means that I need a 48K pcm audio stream, and a DVD compliant MPEG2 vidoe only stream. What is the best way to accomplish this?
My original thought was to render the project twice. Once to create the audio .wav file (which worked ok), and once to create a video only MPEG2 stream. However, the Ligos MPEG2 settings don't allow you to create a video only stream. Nor do they allow you to specify VBR, Multipass, or GOP settings. (Will muting the audio create a video only stream, or will it create both video and audio streams, with nothing on the audio?). So my next thought was to just create an uncompressed .avi and use TMPG to enocde the .avi into MPEG. But after about 30 seconds of my video being rendered (which took two hours!) I already had a 4gig .avi file! What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Don Sanders
