Check the "do not letterbox" option on the exporting dialog and make sure you export in a resolution that makes sense regarding the aspect ratio used.

I understand the "do not letterbox" box but what I can not seem to figure out what ratio numbers I need to put and where. How do I figure that out?
Thank you for getting right back to me.

Are your project properties are set up correctly for widescreen? You don't tell us what the source footage is, and what project properties you got.

It's the <export in a resolution that makes sense regarding the aspect ratio used> part I can't seem to figure out.
I've been using as my template:
NTSC DV widescreen (720X480, 29, 970 fps)
I assume I'm doing this correctly.
Where do it make sure, in the rendering portion, that sesolution makes sense. And what ratio number should I be using?
Thank you

The same as in the project settings regarding NTSC widescreen.

I just tried rending with the same numbers as the proect setting and I'm still getting black borders at the top and bottom of the video. When I want to put video in a flash shell I have to end up the letterbox borders off in the flv.
Is there a step-by-step tutorial I can use to figure this out?
Thanks

send me via email 1-2 seconds of *source* footage (capture 1-2 seconds and then zip it) and i will try it and send you instructions.

Eugenia,
I have a two minute piece. Where do I find your e-mail address? I tried click on your name but the same message comes up.
Also..should I include the mpg file used in this piece and do you also want the rendered movie from it?
Thanks

No, 2 minutes creates a huge filesize, do not send me that. I only need 2-3 seconds. Reshoot something only for a few seconds, filesize should be less than 10 MBs (straight out of the camera). Eloli@hotmail.com

Sorry Eugenia I meant to say 2 seconds.
Whole stuffed file is 4.95 mb.
Since I'm sending this from home right now the file will come from my home computer. Would you please send the steps to my registered account rflaum@yorkdispatch.com
Thank you

I got the video, you just didn't export in a resolution that made sense. You should have saved in 874x480 for 1.000 aspect ratio. So, I am sending you via email the rest of the details.
