Rendering freezes during long videos

I've had a problem with Vegas crashing when rendering longer (2h) movies in HD for quite some time now. I sometimes get the error that something is wrong with the (wpfgfx_v0400.dll) file or that it should be responsible. I have already replaced the NV driver but it always stops after about 30-50 minutes. (50-65%) Hardware temps are okay.

The source material was recorded with the Nvidia Experience at 1080p and 60fps. I want to use it to make a 1080p video for YouTube. I have activated the NVdecoder. I've already tried the bit rate with several. Max 30,000.000 and average 15,000.000 but also with 50.000.000 and 30.000.000. the result is always the same.
My hardware is:
Ryzen 7 7800x3D
64GB RAM
RTX 4090
all hard drives M2 PCIe 4
I have installed the current Studio driver from NV and Win10 64 which is up to date

Vegas 21 up to date (208)

Problem Description
   Application Name:    VEGAS Pro
Application Version: Version 21.0 (Build 208)
   Problem:             Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)

Process Image Date:  2023-11-30 (Thu Nov 30) 05:19:46

1. Update:
If I don't use NVcoder and only render via the CPU, the error message comes even earlier

2. Update:
I ran Windows repair service for DLL files. No improvement
Windows updated to version 11. No improvement
Uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas. No improvement

@Maddin-6616 Hi, my Geforce Experience produces AVC Variable rate clips, my phone also creates AVC Variable rate but I've noticed when rendering the Geforce Experience clips take longer, there's something about those that slow down Vegas a little.

Try recoding your clips to a Constant rate before creating a Project, I understand it may be too late &/or a bit of extra work for your recent project to replace the orig files.

Try rendering your project in parts to see if you can find a problem file or fx.

Can you share pics of your render settings, you can use the arrow button next to the smiley at the top of a new comment to upload pics & video.

@Gid I've already tried rendering several sections individually and I've also had places where it crashed and it works perfectly. But not the whole video

Try the default NVENC preset.

If that doesn't work, reencoding the media with a free tool like Shutter Encoder and replacing it in VEGAS will likely solve the issue.

So I tried it with the standard preset and I have the feeling that it works now. At least he's made the video now.

However, I noticed that my logo, which I display, is not created in the correct resolution. Now I have added the logo with position at exactly HD resolution and the video now renders at 185fps instead of 95fps. I didn't think it would make such a big difference. Now the 2h video would only render for 38 minutes instead of 1h 20min.

So it's definitely cleared up! I just rendered a 3.5 hour project without errors and with 3 YouTube videos in the background.
Thank you very much again for the help

Very glad to hear it. A small settings change can make a big difference.
