rendering HDV to m2t problem

I've tried every way I can think of to try and pump out an m2t. I keep getting the same error, "an error occurred while creating the media file...the reason for the error could not be determined". arghhhhhhh. Anybody ever have this problem? I've rendered an HDV file out before I switched to V8a, and it came out fine, so then I copied my project into V7 and I'm having the same problem, only with V7 I can't seem to get an m2t render, it automatically pushes back to mpeg even though I tell it to output HDV.

I shot with a canon A1. HDV-24f
These are my project settings:
HDV 1080-24p (1440x1080, 23.976 fps)
non progressive scan
Best render quality/Gaussian blur/Blend fields

these are my latest render settings:
Main concept MPEG-2 (custom settings)
Best render
Output type: HDV
16:9
1440:1080
i-frames 15 , b-frames 2
main profile
high 1440 level
non progressive scan
high quality
constant bit rate 25,000,000

Can anyone tell me what's going wrong?
I have been trying to render out :20 at a time and I get cut off with that message a few frames into the :20.

Also, is there a better way to render out HDV files? I've tried the avi with the cineform codec and it doesn't work for me, it's not pumping out high quality.

Are you doing 8 bit or 32 bit?
I've had some issues see my posts from today and last week...

I have been doing it in 8 bit, but just tried 32 bit and it gave me the same error message.

I'm going back to Vegas 7 w/ my current project so I can finish. Here's my previous post:
Talk on this forum about the 32 bit bug has slowed so I'm starting it up again with the hope of a solution or perhaps to speed up the arrival of Vegas 8b update. Here's my latest issue:

Small (2 min project) render in 32 bit, m2t = Crash.
Small render in 8 bit, m2t = GOOD.
BIG (1.5 hour) render in 32 bit, m2t = Crash.
BIG render in 8 bit, m2t = Crash.

Help. I could render big m2t projects in Vegas 7 just fine. (of course 8 bit)

no luck with that one either. Could it by chance be my video card? I hear it's kind of old, or some other computer problem? Truthfully I'm a moron when it comes to computers. Odd, i know, considering I get paid to edit. Suckers!
