Rendering in 3D footage from Sony 3D 5.1 camcorder m2ts files

I was unable to render 3D/5.1 in VMS16P and was advised to trial VMS17P to see if issue persists. 17 did render 3D but the option to render 5.1 sound did not function, could be trial related, but no sound was rendered in stereo option. I am considering to upgrade to VMS17P but need confirmation from users that rendering Sony AVC.MVC works perfect in 17 for PAL. Any assurances available from users?.
