Uncompressed is very large, do you have enough disk space? Are you rendering to an NFTS formatted drive?

Hi Dave - yes, it is an NTFS drive - lots of room. The .avi is a little more than 5 GB, The QT file wouldn't be larger than that would it? Thanks, Bob K.

It depends. What codec is the AVI? or is it ucompressed as well?

and how long is the program?

Same problem here, Bob. You may try QT with the BM codec, but it can also prove tricky.

I also tried rendering an uncompressed QT from a mpeg-2 of the file (26 minutes - 740 MB) and got the same error message. I am making a data DVD which includes a mpeg-2 of a 'how to' video and I wanted to have QT for Mac users. I don't like the qulaity of a QT 3 mbps video - the audio has "megaphony" artifacts. Should I go with the highest qulaity mpeg-4? or Is it safe to say that Mac users can download WMP for Mac and see the meg-2 without incident? Thanks, Bob K.

15 Second uncompressed 720P MOV ran 1.15GB so yes it can take up a lot of space.

I've never really been able to get a good QT uncompressed render out of Vegas.
Some of the people I know have that use Macs also have a tough time dealing with uncompressed .AVI.
