It is actually a pretty bad deal. I guess when you want trails...then they are good, but the motion blur that I am getting is terrible!

What type of file are you rendering too .avi? And are you getting these trials and blurs on TV sets?
Also are these still images or video?

I have rendered in MPEG1&2, also in avi but it all has very strong motion blur.

Yes, but is this motion blur there when viewing on a television set?

When I had something similar it was due to resampling. Right click the event on your timeline, choose properties, choose " Disable Resample ". This cleared it up for me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this has long been a bone of contention for me. I am still waiting to be able to change the default of " Smart Resample ".

Hope it works.

Yes it shows up on any location the video is shown.
Thanks Muttley I will try that ASAP!
I let you know if it worked!

I tried the resampling thing & it work! But I also rendered in HD 59fps format...Both seem to correct the problem! Thanks so much!

Is it now possible to make the default "disable resample"? I have never yet wanted my video to be resampled when changing framerates nor when using a velocity envelope! I'm assuming that with "disable resample" selected the video frame used is rounded to the closest available and also that the chosen frame is still resized when rendering to a different resolution?!?! The ghosting usually produced when resampling is awful and I would rather round to the nearest frame. I'd love to be able to make this the default! I'm always changing framerates as I use source from a still camera at 30fps and DV video at 29.97fps and must produce windows media (30fps), and both NTSC and PAL videos.

Note to Sony: Can you make it possible in future versions of Vegas to set the default of "disable resample" on clips added into a project?

Is there a place I post this where a person on the development team will see it?
